Now that's a fill up - over 300 quid! I got talking to the road train driver who said he gets 860 metres per litre of diesel. Our car uses about 6.5 litres per 100km. This guy uses 116 litres to go the same distance. That's his fuel bill for about a third of his journey from Perth to Port Hedland and back again.
